When You Visit the Museum

You can . . .

Make music. Beat a drum, sing a song, play the giant full-octave pan pipe, play the bells and xylophone--all on a real stage complete with stage lights!

Play with science. Science exhibits change three times each year. Currently at the museum:

Exploring Communication
sponsored by Cookeville Pediatrics Associates.
Type a newspaper in the newspaper office. Sort and deliver mail in the post office. Learn sign language. Practice Morse Code. Visit the Big Top Circus Room.

Explore art. Sound Art activities, the Your Space doodle wall, painting, and “make and take” crafts at Creation Station await the artist inside of you!

Be a diva. Put on a show! The dramatic play area is filled with dozens of costumes in all sizes, or put on a puppet show with your friends.

Visit a farm. Pick apples from a life-size tree and gather eggs in the barn. Take your produce to the local farm stand, where you can sell it to your customers using a realistic cash register--complete with scanner, play money, and a credit card machine! After a busy day of selling and shopping, take a break in the playhouse, where you can cook and set the table.

Go outside. The museum has a full-sized, fenced-in yard with a giant play structure. Climb the wall, scale two castle towers, play on the slide, or swing on the swings! Sponsored by Kids Kare Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology
